'THE INTELLIGENT MAN IS ALWAYS OPEN TO NEW IDEAS. IN FACT HE LOOKS FOR THEM.' PROVERBS 18:15
One of our aims in Jubilee is to challenge, resource and mobilise the Church towards growth. There are distinctive characteristics which are more developed in growing churches, than in churches that are not growing. By providing resources and technology to the local church we aim to: - Encourage local initiatives for church networking and growth
- Provide resources to help churches grow and develop
- Help churches examine structure and purpose
- Support church leadership teams in discovering vision
- Provide independent consultation and church audits
- Provide practical help for specific church community projects
Jubilee has also produced an increasing number of powerful resources to do with what many are calling the "emerging church", these resources are designed to bring challenge, renew vision and explore growth. The Church in the Community: Since its launch in November 1998, we have been committed to empowering and inspiring individual Christians and local churches to develop their role at the hub of their community. Part of Jubilee's extending role is to support Christian groups and Churches in discovering their contribution to neighbourhood renewal and to provide support to Churches in clearly identifying their purpose when applying for funds. The government has carried out a wide-ranging review on how community groups and community activity can be better supported at neighbourhood level. The Home Office's Civil Renewal Unit is keen to receive input from faith-based groups. |
